Assistant Manager - Technology Business Partner
Overview:
We are seeking a highly communicative and business-oriented Assistant Manager, Technology Business Partner / IT Project Manager to drive digital transformation and system enhancement initiatives across our property and retail operations. In this role, you will manage the business side of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), acting as the key liaison between business users, internal technology teams, infrastructure teams, and external vendors to deliver technology solutions that align with business objectives and operational needs.
The successful candidate will combine strong stakeholder management, business analysis, and project management capabilities to ensure projects are delivered effectively from requirements gathering through implementation, user adoption, and post-launch support.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the dedicated technology business partner for assigned business units, acting as the primary bridge between business users, internal technology teams, infrastructure teams, and external vendors.
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, gaining a deep understanding of business processes, operational challenges, and strategic priorities.
- Engage with business users to understand their day-to-day operations, pain points, and objectives, translating business needs into clear and comprehensive project requirements.
- Prepare and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and other project documentation.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings, and stakeholder discussions to gather requirements, align expectations, and drive project outcomes.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to business users and business objectives to technical teams, ensuring mutual understanding and alignment.
- Coordinate project activities throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring timely delivery and successful execution of project milestones.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), issue resolution, deployment planning, and implementation activities.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Support change management and user adoption initiatives through training, communications, user guides, and rollout support.
- Oversee post-implementation support activities, including the development of user guides, training materials, operational procedures, and system documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and continuous enhancement of technology solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's (or equivalent qualifications) in Information Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or related area.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a Business Analyst, IT Project Manager, or Technology Business Partner role.
- Proven track record in delivering digital initiatives and mission-critical technology solutions (e.g., Property Tech, CRM, ERP, or retail systems) within a fast-paced environment.
- Holder of Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent qualifications will be highly regarded.
