Overview:
The Business Analyst acts as a key liaison between business users and IT teams, supporting the delivery of system enhancements and technology initiatives. The role is responsible for gathering and analysing business requirements, coordinating stakeholders, supporting testing activities, and helping ensure solutions effectively meet business needs while driving process improvements and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Analyse business and user needs, document requirements, define enhancement opportunities, and develop test cases to support solution delivery.
- Support systems analysis activities by defining scope, documenting requirements, and establishing success criteria and measurable outcomes.
- Support project delivery by coordinating activities across business and IT teams, helping to keep work on track and ensuring project progress is visible to key stakeholders.
- Coordinate resources, priorities, and dependencies across teams to facilitate smooth and timely delivery.
- Provide day-to-day support to business users, including responding to system enquiries, clarifying processes and system behaviour, and assisting with issue triage.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test coordination, test case preparation, definition of acceptance criteria, and hands-on testing where appropriate.
- Work closely with business users and IT teams to support system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in business analysis or a related field.
- Knowledge of business analysis methodologies, requirements gathering, and documentation.
- Understanding of applications, data, and infrastructure within a business environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a dynamic environment.
