Senior System Analyst

Overview:

This role is responsible for managing the property sales system, bridging business process knowledge, technical flow design, and vendor governance. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical thinking with confident communication and can independently translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications. This role reports regularly to a Technical Manager.

Responsibilities:

Review property sales system business process flows and technical system behaviour, module by module
Serve as the key technical interface with other technology teams and vendors
Review vendor-proposed solutions and provide independent recommendations
Translate business requirements into structured technical specifications
Support production troubleshooting and system issue investigation
Report progress and issues to the Technical Manager regularly

Requirements:

3+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst and 5+ years in the technology industry (developer background preferred)
Proven experience in business process analysis and technical flow documentation
Ability to produce clear functional specifications, flow diagrams, and system documentation
Confident in technical discussions with vendors and third parties, and in reviewing proposed solutions
Solid understanding of REST APIs and system integration patterns
Ability to produce architecture diagrams (system context, component, sequence, and data flow)
Ability to read and understand code in Java / Spring Boot (backend) and ReactJS (frontend)
Familiarity with relational databases, with the ability to read and discuss data models
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Cantonese
Self-driven, with the ability to work independently in ambiguous situations
Experience with property / real estate transaction systems is preferred; candidates without prior domain knowledge will also be considered if they have a proven track record as a Systems Analyst
Familiarity with the AWS cloud platform is preferred
Background in B2C e-commerce or high-volume transactional systems is preferred
Experience working across cross-functional teams (BA, DevOps, and QA) is preferred
