Job Overview
This role supports property development initiatives by delivering feasibility studies, planning analysis, and land-related coordination for agricultural land conversion, brownfield redevelopment, and rezoning projects. The position contributes to identifying development opportunities, supporting strategic planning, and facilitating project approvals in line with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies for agricultural land conversion, brownfield redevelopment, and rezoning projects.
- Perform site appraisals and market analyses to identify and evaluate potential development opportunities.
- Coordinate planning and land exchange applications, preparing submissions that comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and consultants to develop proposals and ensure alignment with government regulations, including requirements from the Planning Department.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with professional consultants and stakeholders to facilitate timely approvals through proactive engagement.
- Contribute to master planning initiatives and support the development of innovative and sustainable urban solutions.
- Conduct policy research and analyse government initiatives and market trends to support development strategies and decision-making.
Requirements
- Degree in Town/Urban Planning, Real Estate, Surveying, Public Policy, Urban Studies, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in planning, real estate, land development feasibility, or related fields.
- Practical experience in planning applications, stakeholder coordination, and project support is preferred.
- Professional accreditation (e.g. MHKIP, MRICS, RTPI or equivalent), or progress towards chartership, is an advantage.
- Exposure to development or planning projects in the Chinese Mainland is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of GIS, design tools, or data analytics is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem‑solving skills, with good attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua).
- Self‑motivated and proactive, with a genuine interest in land development and urban planning.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams, consultants, and authorities.
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with a strong sense of accountability.
