This role will act as the designated finance contact for assigned joint ventures and other group entities, maintaining overall ownership of financial reporting, financial integrity and stakeholder engagement. Partner closely with Finance Shared Service Centre to ensure accurate and timely delivery of accounting services while providing company-level financial analysis, governance oversight and business support to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary finance contact for assigned joint ventures and key stakeholders, building trusted partnerships and ensuring high service standards.
- Take ownership of financial reporting activities and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and Group policies.
- Review monthly closing results, annual financial statements, and accounting deliverables prepared by the Finance Shared Service Centre, identifying financial risks, unusual transactions, and reporting exceptions with recommendations for improvement.
- Provide meaningful financial analysis and business insights to management and joint venture partners, supporting informed decision-making and risk management.
- Coordinate external audits, statutory reporting, tax filings, governance matters, and support Group consolidation and reporting requirements.
- Partner with the Finance Shared Service Centre to ensure effective delivery of accounting services and continuous process improvement.
- Support finance transformation initiatives, including the migration of accounting activities to the Shared Service Centre.
- Where required, perform full-set accounting, financial closing activities, and prepare management reports for joint venture partners.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum 6 yeras of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, or corporate finance
- CPA or equivalent professional, accounting qualification preferred (student members currently taking examinations are also welcomed)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and accounting judgement skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to engage effectively across different levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently while contributing as a collaborative team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, data analysis, and data import/export functions.
- Experience with Oracle ERP systems is an advantage.
- Knowledge of consolidation, statutory reporting, and tax reporting processes would be highly desirable.
